It is our observation that there are many good and decent men who are – due to life situations and bad decisions – caught in a perpetual cycle of dependency.

This cycle leads to a mindset of futility and hopelessness.

Many factors can contribute to dependency including: low education levels, lack of job skills, absence of  family, substance abuse, and mental illness.

Allegan Harvest Farm seeks to create a close community setting between the Harvest Farm residents and volunteers from churches and the surrounding cities.

Through this life-on-life interaction of people working along side one another, Allegan Harvest Farm will implement a comprehensive plan for discipleship, instilling a strong work ethic and sense of personal accountability while the teaching of life skills that will help the men to live successfully and productively on their own someday
